Li-S Energy (ASX: LIS) has delivered its first lithium-sulfur battery cells to the US Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center for independent evaluation and testing.
The cells have been received at the US Army’s Aberdeen Proving Ground, marking the first delivery of Li-S Energy technology to a US Government agency and an important step forward in the Company’s US defence commercialisation strategy.
DEVCOM C5ISR Center plays a key role in evaluating and integrating advanced technologies for the US Army, with successful evaluation able to inform future procurement decisions across unmanned aerial systems, ground robotics, soldier-worn equipment and autonomous platforms.
The milestone builds on Li-S Energy’s growing defence and aerospace pipeline and demonstrates the value of the regulatory pathway recently established to enable the Company to ship its cells directly from Australia into the United States.
